Immunisation

South Africa’s vaccination schedule abides by the World Health Organization (WHO) who recommends how and when a child should be vaccinated. The Expanded Program of Immunisation (EPI) from the WHO, encourages vaccination against measles, polio, pertussis (whooping cough), diphtheria, tetanus and tuberculosis. We offer private vaccinations.

Children can receive their vaccinations even in the presence of a cough or a cold or during a course of antibiotics. Only when the child has a fever of 38 degrees Celsius or more, will the vaccinations not be given. Adherence to the prescribed ages when the vaccinations should be given is essential. The Road to Health card, which documents your child’s vaccinations, are of utmost importance since the proof thereof may be required when you register for school admission.
